COME WITH YOUR QUESTIONS

You are welcome to wonder.

Faith deserves thoughtful exploration. Take a small step, read for yourself, and leave room for honest questions.

A gentle path with room to pause and consider the way ahead

Start with an invitation.

You do not need to agree with everything here to read, ask, or pray. EyesClose is Christian: we point toward Jesus, while respecting your freedom to explore at your own pace.

Start with a Gospel. Notice what Jesus says, what He does, and the questions the text raises. Bring those questions into a thoughtful conversation.

Honest questions. A place to begin.

Can I pray if I am not sure God exists?

You can begin by expressing uncertainty honestly: “God, if You are there, help me seek what is true.” That is an invitation to explore, not a requirement to pretend belief. Read a Gospel, ask thoughtful questions, and consider the reasons Christians give for their faith.

Who is Jesus?

Christians confess Jesus as the Son of God, crucified and risen, through whom we come to the Father. To explore this claim, start with one Gospel and notice what Jesus says and does, how others respond, and what the writer says about His death and resurrection.

What if I do not feel anything?

Prayer is not measured by intensity of feeling. People experience attention, distraction, comfort, and dryness. You may keep the practice simple, read a short passage, and speak honestly. A lack of strong emotion does not establish that you have done something wrong.

Why are some prayers unanswered?

Christians do not have an explanation for every instance of suffering or unanswered prayer. Scripture includes persistent pleading and lament, as well as thanksgiving. Prayer is not a method for controlling outcomes. It can coexist with seeking practical help, grieving, and asking difficult questions.

Is prayer a substitute for getting help?

No. Prayer can accompany medical care, counselling, practical action, and support from trusted people. Illness is not proof of inadequate faith. Seek appropriate help for your circumstances, and do not stop prescribed treatment because of a devotional or prayer.

Do I need to pay, donate, or join?

No. EyesClose is free and ad-free. Reading the Bible, using the prayer tools, and returning each day do not require payment or an account. Gifts from willing supporters help sustain this ministry; they do not buy answered prayers or special access.
